"Breaking News"

Switch on any news TV channel... specially in the afternoon and you see these great breaking news being splashed all over... I always felt that "Breaking News" is a term used for most important news in public interest.
.
Now look at these "so important" news clips and c(s)lap for our media... poor media... no Prince in bore well since long so Dogs and Cats are hogging the limelight !

Its time to wake up people... there are many things waiting to get attention... Bomb blasts, farmers committing suicide in Vidarbha, Child labour, Bangla border, Traffic menace, Drug spread, Admission issues etc ...
.
Here is a (S)Quiz for you -
.
# How many of us know that even to adopt a child you need to bribe here and the wait time is more than 18 months?
.
# How many of us know widespread of child labour in India?
.
# Did you know India is the only country where no medical insurance cover is granted to AIDS patients?

कल हो ना हो

We had a superb group of 5 friends in office. Kinda Fantastic-5. We used to love our tea n lunch time so much...it was gr8 fun n masti... time flies... last of them left today...felt so sad and lonely... so low...all alone...so much so that I could not have my lunch... The time I used to look forward to has suddenly become a Gabbar Singh for me...strange nah!

Sometime we don't realize how small things change our lives. Life is full of turns and twists. Friends are like adhesives, who bind us with the happiness. So hold on to them and cherish the togetherness.

इन पलों को पकडे रहना क्या पता ये पल कल हो ना हो !

Mera Bharat Kahaan?

I was really moved by Shobha De's article in Sunday Times. Its about the diverse emotions we have. Its great to see an Indian bagging a Gold in Olympics. 1 medal - 1.1 billion smiles! Finally we have something to cheer for. We have been really busy celebrating success of Vinitas, Kalpanas and many other people with remote Indian roots. I feel we have become overly celebrative or may be there are too less idols left here. I am not saying we should not but there should be a sensible limit.

What shocked me most is our CM announcing Rs. 10 lakhs to Bindra who is already a billionaire. I still do not know where does Maharashtra come into this and why should he give him award from State fund? I salute to Bindra's Gold but don't we have so many projects pending here due to less funds. Don't we need to channelize our money and energy at the places where its really needed? Why not donate that money to open a shooting academy that will create more Bindras?

Oops...I almost forgot...correct me if I m wrong...Hockey is still our National game and as per Indian Hockey academy, they are in dearth need of funds to provide best facilities and coaching to the team... Knock-Knock! You there Mr. CM?
